to all ank m249 fans, here are some of my tips to reach the optimum 450fps with the cheapest possible upgrades:
1. change the stock cylinder. no need to buy an upgrade or bore-up cylinder, just use those golden-colored yet cheap-looking cylinder from your WELL AEG or stock M4 TM that you thought useless. you'll be surprise.
2. change the piston head to piston head with bearing.
3. teflons are needed where you want it. in the cylinder head and hop-up bucking.
4. apply your favorite lubricant on the piston head o-ring, as well as inside the stock nozzle.
5. on the box mag, it requires some nerve to open the green thing. change the coil spring to that of nb30 or from those adventure line m4 mags. it will put an end to occasional misfeeding.
USING THE STOCK SPRING, MY 249 REACHED 444-448FPS @ .20G 6MM BBS. I DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO CHANGE THE FIREFOX NICAD BATTERY, INNER BARREL, ETC. ONLY CYLINDER AND PISTON HEAD, AND SOME TEFLON, AND YES MY ADVENTURE LINE COIL SPRING...ITS OLD THOUGH.
WE CAN OFKORZ REACH TO AS MUCH AS 600FPS, BUT HEY, WE HAVE A VELOCITY LIMIT TO KEEP AS RESPONSIBLE ENTHUSIASTS OF AIRSOFT. D BA?
